DUAL Hires New Leadership to Expand North America Cyber Division
DUAL North America announced Thursday the expansion of its Cyber Liability underwriting unit with the addition of Larry Baldino and Kate Walas, with former Chubb manager Baldino assuming the role of Division Leader.
Baldino brings over 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, the majority of which has been in the Cyber and Technology E&O space. Most recently, Baldino was the North American Cyber and Tech E&O Product Manager at Chubb, where he led the effort to significantly grow the existing distribution channels as well as establish additional channels of Cyber and Tech E&O business.
Walas also brings 18 years of experience in the industry in Financial Lines, and a diverse background in underwriting and strategic operations. Most recently, Walas held the position of Head of Cyber Tech Operations at AXA XL, where she managed the Operations team, developed and managed the Alternative Distribution strategy for Cyber, and worked in underwriting.
Jim O’Connor, DUAL North America CEO, commented: “The cyber and tech insurance space has vast potential, and we are thrilled to continue to develop and expand our offering to seize the opportunity it presents. Larry and Kate’s extensive product experience will be an excellent addition to our existing Cyber team, and their additional experience in management and operational efficiency will be instrumental in positioning this team for sustainable growth.”
The addition of Baldino and Walas to DUAL’s existing Cyber team, which includes Jose Ruiz and Christy Ackerman, supports DUAL’s commitment to being the industry leader across US Property and Casualty products, and its commitment to investing in and expanding its Cyber product offerings.
